Money and Politics, A Primer: Part Five

Part Five, MONEY AND POLITICS, A PRIMER The esteemed Paul M. Green said: "A Patriot questions, and holds his government accountable to the governed." [But statist] ". . . hate the true principles of our Constitution because it stands at odds with their hunger for power and money.” Later he adds: "We as a people have allowed this to happen through apathy, complacence and ignorance."

What are the opposite characteristics of apathy, complacence and ignorance? Being engaged and we are all engaged to a certain extent. In this case we act or we are being acted upon. Arming ourselves with history and knowledge—learning how things really work, their cause and effect. And we must individually accept responsibility for the direction of our own lives and the life of our country.

It is said we get the government we deserve. Well, we have been duped. Millions of people did not expect this, and it's time we get a better group of people who realize that the government that governs best is the government that governs least.

Are you willing to fight for what you believe in? If not now, how bad does it have to get before you are willing to stand and make a difference? How oppressive and suppressive does government have to be, before you awaken your Patriotic sensibilities and Declare Your Own Independence? How bad does society have to be, how intrusive does government have to get, how restrictive and "rationed" does life have to become before you say, "Enough!?" “This is where I draw the line. This is where I stand.”

"The strength of the Constitution lies entirely

in the determination of each citizen to defend it.

Only if every citizen feels duty bound are

                              Constitutional rights secure." —Albert Einstein

It starts with figuring out what you love and what you fear. It is not too late. The battle is raging today. We as individuals will make the difference. It has always been that way. Our Founding Fathers knew it would be difficult. The whole of the Constitution is to protect the liberty of the individual. They knew of man's evil desire to control others. They sacrificed their all so we would have the opportunity to stay in this battle for freedom over tyranny. So it is up to you, my friend. When will you Fight for America?

God Bless You and God Bless America.
